Kanban design

Core idea
Kanban is a visible authorization specifying what, how much, from where, to where, and when to replenish.
Method
Define item/container, demand and replenishment time; calculate initial cards with safety allowance; set rules, locations and lost-card response; audit and adjust. Kanban cannot compensate for unstable supply indefinitely.
Garment-factory example
Cards or digital signals replenish labels, thread, trims, cut panels, or packing materials in fixed containers.
