Organization-wide deployment and implementation readiness

← Back to moduleBack to academy

Learning objectives

  • Assess organizational readiness for improvement.
  • Build a project pipeline tied to strategy.
  • Identify common deployment risks.

Deployment ≠ training

Training alone does not create improvement. Leaders must select projects, provide time, review evidence, remove barriers, recognize learning and integrate gains into management routines.

Garment-factory example

A multi-factory group starts with two value streams, common metric definitions, trained sponsors and monthly tollgates rather than training hundreds of belts without projects.

Method

  1. Assess leadership, data, resources, culture and governance.
  2. Select pilots aligned to strategy.
  3. Train by role, not by mass event.
  4. Review benefits and scale proven practices.

Common mistakes

  • Counting belts trained instead of results delivered.
  • Launching too many projects without sponsor capacity.
