Generative Design

Overview

Generative design applies algorithms, including generative AI, to propose garment silhouettes, prints, colourways, surface graphics or design variations from prompts, reference material and structured constraints. In apparel, it is most useful as an ideation and iteration aid that helps designers explore a broader option space before CAD development and sampling. Human designers remain responsible for originality, brand fit, technical feasibility, material behavior and approval of the final product.

• •Generate print, pattern and colourway alternatives that designers refine into production-ready artwork.
