Use these criteria to compare candidates on evidence, not marketing claims. No supplier has paid for inclusion or ranking.
- Fit
- Alignment with the buyer's stated use case, product mix, order size and quality target.
- Interoperability
- Openly documented APIs, standard file formats, and evidence of integration with existing ERP/MES/PLM.
- Implementation capacity
- Local engineering, installation and change-management resources sized to the buyer's rollout plan.
- Evidence
- Verifiable references, before/after production data and independent test reports — not brochures.
- Service coverage
- Response times, spare-parts availability and preventive-maintenance programme in the buyer's region.
- Security & privacy
- Documented information-security controls, data-processing terms and, where relevant, ISO/IEC 27001 evidence.
- Total cost of ownership
- Capex, consumables, spares, training, downtime and end-of-life cost — not headline price alone.
- Sustainability claims
- Substantiated with recognised standards or transaction certificates; claims should be no broader than the evidence.
