Estimated metres of sewing thread for a seam length, given a stitch-class consumption factor.

Typical: single-needle lockstitch ≈ 2.5, 3-thread overlock ≈ 14, 5-thread safety ≈ 18. Confirm from your seam spec.

Formula: Thread metres = (seam length cm × consumption factor ÷ 100) × (1 + wastage%). Estimate — verify with a spool test.
