Training, deployment, and change adoption

← Back to moduleBack to academy

Learning objectives

  • Explain the purpose of training, deployment, and change adoption in a garment-factory improvement project.
  • Apply the described method to a representative shop-floor situation.
  • Recognize the common mistakes and how to avoid them.

Concept

Deployment succeeds when affected people understand the reason, can perform the new work, receive support, and see leaders reinforce it.

Address awareness, participation, skill, tools, coaching, supervisor behavior, resistance, feedback, communication, and reinforcement.

Train near use and assess demonstration, not attendance.

Garment-factory example

Operators practice a new first-piece approval; supervisors rehearse escalation; mechanics verify settings; quality audits competency at gemba.

Method

  1. Stakeholder and impact plan.
  2. Translate standards by role and language.
  3. Train-the-trainer.
  4. Simulate.
  5. Certify.
  6. Coach at gemba.
  7. Track adoption measures.

Common mistakes
